Frank Vogel is an American professional basketball coach who is currently the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was born on June 21, 1973, in Wildwood, New Jersey.

Vogel began his coaching career as an assistant coach for the Boston Celtics from 2001 to 2004. He then served as an assistant coach for the Philadelphia 76ers from 2004 to 2005 and the Indiana Pacers from 2007 to 2011.

In 2011, Vogel was promoted to the position of head coach for the Indiana Pacers. Under his leadership, the Pacers became a formidable team in the Eastern Conference, known for their strong defensive play and physical style. Vogel guided the Pacers to the Eastern Conference Finals in consecutive years, in 2013 and 2014.

After leaving the Pacers in 2016, Vogel became the head coach of the Orlando Magic from 2016 to 2018. In 2019, he was hired as the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers. In his first season with the Lakers, Vogel led the team to the NBA championship in 2020, securing the franchise's 17th championship title.

Frank Vogel is known for his emphasis on defense and his ability to motivate and connect with his players. He is respected for his basketball knowledge and strategic approach to the game.
